Why Bees Matter
Bees pollinate 1 in 3 bites of the food you eat. Without them, fruits, nuts, and vegetables dissapear from stores.
Bees Power our World
These tiny creatures are important sources of our food supply and are responsible for pollinating around 1/3 of the world’s crops including fruits, nuts and vegetables that grow and are eaten by people all around the globe. In the United States alone, bees and other pollinators add value to $15 billion in crops every year. Through the process of pollination, plants are able to produce seeds and fruit which leads to diversity in food and ecosystems, creates habitat and improves soil and carbon storage. As a result of pesticides and a decrease in habitat, bees and other pollinators are dwindling in numbers worldwide, making conservation a priority for all.
